Welcome to the CHYLA Elections Page!

This page provides essential information about the election process for the CHYLA Board of Directors. Our leadership roles are volunteer positions, with no financial compensation provided. By committing to serve on the Board, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organization and supporting our mission.

Leadership Roles & Responsibilities:

  • All leadership roles are volunteer-based.
  • Board members commit to serving a two-year term.
  • Candidates must be active members of the CHYLA Mentoring Network.

We encourage all eligible members to consider running for a leadership position and contributing to the growth and success of our community. Your participation and dedication are vital to our continued impact and progress.

Board of Director Roles

The Board of Director’s leadership roles are elected positions and serve to advance the CHYLA Mentoring Network organization. Positions are comprised of staff, administration, and student employees of the University and its auxiliaries.

Positions 1-5 are necessary, must be filled, and are considered to be the Board of Directors’ Executive Committee. Positions 6-11 are recommended and are Board Members-at-large. There may be more than one person in a role for positions 5-11, but no more than two people. Officers serve for two years per election cycle.

The Board of Directors of the organization shall be as follows:

  3. Secretary (Executive Committee member)
  4. Treasurer (Executive Committee member)
  5. Membership & Outreach Officer (Executive Committee member)
