Commencement Guest Tickets
Students will be able to RSVP for Commencement and claim tickets beginning March 3, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
Ticket Information
- Tickets are required for all guests to attend Commencement ceremonies.
- Each graduate will be granted 7 guest tickets for their academic college's commencement ceremony.
- Tickets are free of charge, and cannot be bought or sold.
Students who sell tickets will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct for appropriate action that may include denial of access to participate in Commencement. - Graduates do not need tickets for themselves.
- Children under the age of 3 (1 or 2 years old) who will sit on a guardian's lap during the ceremony do not require a ticket.
- Possession of a ticket does not guarantee admittance. The ticket must have a valid barcode to gain entry.
- Each ceremony has its own specific ticket. Guests cannot use a ticket for one academic college's ceremony to enter a different college's ceremony.
- Spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies are only for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 graduates. If a graduate registers and claims guest tickets for Spring 2025 Commencement but later updates their expected graduation term to any other term other than Spring or Summer 2025, their ceremony registration will be canceled, and their guest tickets will be invalidated.
Extra Tickets
- Eligible graduates for the Spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies can now claim additional guest tickets, on top of the 7 already allotted to them.
- Extra guest tickets can be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis, until the extra guest ticket inventory is depleted.
- Extra guest ticket alottment quantities vary by ceremony, based on the number of eligible graduates per ceremony.
- Eligible graduates wishing to claim extra tickets can do so by clicking the "Commencement Tickets" link visible in their Student Center, and resubmitting the Commencement registration form. Be sure to change the number of tickets you claim on the drop-down menu to the new total amount you wish to claim (original 7 + extra tickets).
- A step-by-step guide on registering and claiming tickets can be found at the top of this webpage.
Livestream (with closed captioning)
The University will livestream each ceremony so that family and friends can view their graduate’s recognition from anywhere. On May 16, 2025, the feed will go live on the Commencement Homepage.
