Week 1 Homework

1. Register for Taskstream a minimum of two days before our next meeting.

2. Conduct and write out school technology inventory. You will be expected to teach, reflect and revise lessons and units involving technology. Thus this inventory will important for your planning. The inventory may also serve as the first part of your technology plan assignment at the end of the semester. Due by third week of class.

3. Fill out technology self-assessment. (You will use this same form to assess yourself and reflect mid-semester and at the end of the semester). Keep an electronic copy but bring a hard copy to the second week of class.

• Begin to collect and organize any artifacts that you may already have to be included in the portfolio.

4. The first agenda item in next week's class will be to respond to the following discussion board question in Taskstream. Think about the questions and be ready to respond.

• What do you think are the most important student outcomes? Why? (Do you think schools are making steady progress toward this outcome?)
• When do you think technology is (or has been) the best alternative to use? When do you think technology should not be used?

You will be asked to comment on other students' responses on each of the topics above.
