Work Experience From 08-98 to Present California State University, Sacramento, Department of Bilingual Education, Part-time Lecturer Prepare and develop graduate curriculum aligned with the California Standards and Benchmarks in the subjects of: Methods of Second Language Acquisition - EDBM 279, Literacy for the Bilingual Child-EDBM 272A, Literacy and Language For The Bilingual Child-EDTE 309B, and Introduction To Bilingual Education-EDBM 170. From 07-01 to Present Charles Mack Elementary, Elk Grove Unified School District, ELD Coordinator Responsible for ongoing training of staff in the areas of Specially Design Academic Instruction in English-SDAIE, English Language Intensive Literacy-ELIL, and California English Language Dedvelopment Test-CELDT testing. Coordinate and oversee Bilingual Associates and after school teachers' schedules, English Language Advisory Committee monthly meetings and weekly kindergarten parent meetings. Provide English Language Development instruction to all English Learners. Prepare and maintain English Learners yearly budget. From 6-94 Present San Joaquin County Office of Education-BTTP Consultant Provide consutative services to districts in Bilingual Certification and Cross-Cultural training in the areas of SB1969 /SB395, SDAIE Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English, ELD-English Language Development, CLAD-Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development, and Spanish for teachers. From 08-96 to 07/01 Barbara Comstock Morse Elementary - Elk Grove Unified School District, Teacher (various grades) Prepared daily lesson plans aligned with the State's standards and benchmarks. Implement SDAIE methodologies in all grades. Assessed students' progress through standardized testing as well as teacher's made. Maintained students' portfolios. From 10-95 to 08-96 Elk Grove High School-Elk Grove Unified School District, Spanish Teacher Prepared daily lesson plans aligned with the State's standards and benchmarks implementing the Natural Approach, Total Physical Response, Language Experience Approach, vocabulary development, and grammar. Assessed students' progress through standardized testing and department made tests. From 02-94 to 10-95 Galt Adult Education - Galt Unified School District, ELD Teacher Develop various ESL level lessons aligned with the State's standards and benchmarks. Lessons were primarily communicative based and developed using the Natural Approach and Total Physical Response methodologies.
