About Civil Engineering
Academic Programs
Civil engineers are instrumental in planning, analyzing, and designing the infrastructure we take for granted in rural and urban areas.
The undergraduate program at Sacramento State leads to a Bachelor of Science degree and is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, https://www.abet.org/.
Graduates are prepared to enter the profession as practicing civil engineers with a focus on applied engineering principles. The department also offers advanced study and concentrations in multiples areas of civil engineering in the Master of Science degree program.
Department Sponsors
The Department of Civil Engineering provides an Annual Sponsorship Program for companies and individuals/families – a single payment program that provides access to all of the department’s annual events like "An Evening With Industry" and the CE Department Golf Tournament in the fall, and the Ken Kerri Endowment Fund Luncheon in the spring. Each sponsorship level is discounted and provides additional benefits over individual event sponsorship.
Individual events can be sponsored by contacting Ashley Mihok in the Civil Engineering Office at (916) 278-6982 or ashley.mihok@csus.edu.
