Sac State employees have access to practical, compassionate assistance from LifeMatters, with any elder care need including:

• A parent’s recent forgetfulness
• Home safety solutions for an elderly relative
• An older family member’s injury or illness
• A decline in a parent’s driving safety
• Insurance, Social Security, and Medicare questions
• Housing and care options.

Care Advisory Services

Support and advice on dealing with the range of services available to elders, including selecting the right health care or housing provider, assessing risk, and creating care action plans. Unlimited telephone Care Advisory Services are available at no cost.

Care Management Services

In-home assessments or consultations, facility evaluations, family consultation meetings, and ongoing care management and monitoring. You will be notified how many hours of Care Management Services you receive annually at the time of your call. Additional recommended services are your personal financial responsibility.

Adult Day Care Options

WorkLife Specialists can provide assistance in locating adult care, including adult day care centers, assisted living, in-home services, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and transportation services.
