Child Care Resources
As a Sac State employee, you are eligible for discounts on child care and educational tutoring.
Onsite Children's Center
Associated Students, Inc., operates an onsite center for children of students and employees. The Children’s Center offers Infant Toddler Care for children starting at six months of age, a Transition Program for older toddlers aged two to three, and Preschool for children ages three to Kindergarten. The center is in high-demand and employees are encouraged to put their names onto the enrollment wait list as far in advance as possible.
Bright Path to Learning Child Development Center
In partnership with UC Davis Health System and SMUD, Sac State administers the Bright Path to Learning Child Development Center, conveniently located close to campus on Folsom Boulevard. This center has a designated number of slots for children of Sac State employees aged six weeks through six years.
KinderCare Learning Centers
The California State University offers child care benefits through KinderCare Learning Centers for children ages six weeks through twelve years. This child care benefit employees a 10% tuition savings. Multiple KinderCare Learning Centers in the Sacramento region are available from which to choose.
Your 10% savings is accepted at any KinderCare across the country. That means no matter where you work or travel, you can access high-quality, professional educational care for your children.
Other Child Care Resources
The EAP offers employees customized, pre-screened referrals to child care resources in the Sacramento region for child care centers, family child care, nanny and au pair agencies, before/after school care, and summer camps. When you call LifeMatters, a WorkLife specialist will help determine your specific needs, search for providers in your preferred area of Sacramento, contact each provider to verify availability, rates, and services. The WorkLife Specialist will then send you three verified referrals that match your specifications within two business days.
The Employee Assistance Program will also help employees find a professional tutor for their children of elementary through college levels. Skilled professionals assist employees in identifying and hiring an individual tutor or a tutoring service. Options for students with special needs or learning abilities are included.
