Live Presentations
Faculty, staff and student club/organization leaders can select from a variety of career-related presentation topics through the “Request a Live Presentation” link below. Live presentations are available during Career Center business hours of 8am – 5pm. Due to the high volume of presentations we receive, the Career Center may have limited capacity for multiple requests in one course.
On-Demand Presentations
For presentations outside of business hours of 8am – 5pm, faculty, staff and student club/organization leaders may request a recorded presentation from a variety of topics.

Apply for a Career4Equity Mini-Grant
Sacramento State faculty and staff who integrate career development, financial wellness and/or work-based learning content and activities into curriculum or co-curriculum are eligible to apply.

Connect with the Career Center Team
The Career Center can also serve as the connection between faculty and employers. Refer community members, and potential employers/internship hosts to our Employer Relations team.

Best Practices for Collaborating with the Career Center
- Use career fair and event (Spring Fairs: All Majors Career Fair is Mon., March 3rd and Education, Youth & Family Services Fair is Tues., March 4th) participation as extra credit or class assignment opportunities (e.g. short reflection)
- Add a link to the Career Center website as a student resource in your syllabus or Canvas page.
- Refer employers to us via Handshake
- Assign mock interviews using Big Interview
- Encourage students to explore major and career options via FOCUS2 Career and What Can I Do with This Major
- Encourage students to research industries that interest them using Labor Market Insights, California Career Zone, ONet and Library resources
- Suggest that students use AI like ChatGPT to check resume and cover letter grammar and spelling
- For students in need of extra career support, encourage an appointment for Career Center Counseling.
- For other “College to Career Readiness” ideas for a career ready workforce, visit NACE
- Join a Professional Learning Community or Teaching Institute in collaboration with CTL on how to help students be Career Ready
