National Farmworker Awareness Week
The Serna Center in collaboration with the College Assistance Migrant Program, Community Engagement Center, Associated Students Inc, One World Initiative, KSSU Radio, and Salsa Loca
A series of events will be hosted throughout the week of March 27 to March 31, to highlight the strength and perseverance of farm-working communities and individuals. The events are hosted by various campus programs and centers and are open to the public. Students are highly encouraged to attend to learn more about these forgotten histories and about current efforts to protect farmworker rights.
The annual supply drive will benefit local farmworking communities. We welcome gently used clothes and shoes, and brand-new bandanas, hats, beanies, socks, sunscreen, reusable water bottles, first aid kits, lunchboxes, and small coolers.
