Lavender Graduation

Save the Date!

Lavender Graduation in 2025 will be on May 8, Thursday, from 6pm to 8pm at the University Union Cottonwood Suite!

The annual Lavender Graduation celebrates graduating students and acknowledges their academic achievements and contributions to the campus community. Graduating students from all academic levels are welcome to participate in the ceremony. Students receive a lavender tassel and a certificate. Light refreshments will be served. This event is voluntary and open to all graduating students who would like to
participate, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin.

Queer Prom

Save the Date!

Queer Prom in 2025 will be on April 18, Friday, from 5pm to 9pm at the University Union Ballroom!

Queer Prom offers a prom experience that affirms the LGTBQIA+ community and encourages attendees to be their authentic selves. This event is open to all Sac State students, staff, faculty, administrators, and alumni; each attendee is welcome to bring one guest. There will be a DJ, activity stations, a photo backdrop, and light refreshments.

Transgender Awareness Week

Transgender Awareness Week, a crucial time to uplift the voices and experiences of the trans and gender non-conforming community through education and action. In collaboration with campus partners, the PRIDE Center will highlight the humanity of transgender and non-binary identities in programs and events throughout the week. Transgender Awareness Week is open to all members of the Hornet family; faculty, staff, and students are invited to engage in the week's activities and enrich their appreciation and awareness of LGBTQIA+ diversity.
