Services for Students

Outreach and Recruitment

CAMP conducts high school presentations, bilingual parent workshop presentations, and coordinates field trips to Sac State. Additionally, CAMP provides support filling out the admission application for CSU Apply, CAMP, and EOP.

New Student Orientation and Housing

CAMP provides information about on/off campus housing options as well as information regarding students looking for roommates.

EOP Summer Bridge Academy

Eligible students participate in a free intensive five-week summer program that works collaboratively to engage in an ongoing transition process from high school to college.

CAMP Learning Community

Students are assigned to take three aligned courses as a cohort and share the entire first-semester curriculum.

Advising (personal, academic and career)

CAMP provides instructional and emotional support to help students achieve academic success.

Tutoring

Students complete a minimum of five hours a week, either working one-on-one with a tutor, participating in-group tutoring session, studying independently, and/or completing homework assignments.

Academic Planning, Course Selection, and Registration

Students develop an Individualized Academic Plan (IAP) to accomplish academic, career, professional and personal goals. Additionally, students receive academic advising planning and registration support during the academic year.

FAFSA and Scholarship Applications

Students receive one-on-one and/or workshop assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as follow-up services to ensure students submit all required documents in a timely manner.

First-year Seminar

CAMP offers a yearlong course that aims to prepare students for a successful transition and integration to campus.

Services for High School Counselors

If you are interested in an in-person or virtual option for your students, the CAMP program can provide you with a presentation about CAMP and Sacramento State. Additionally, an in-person or virtual campus tour will be offered. If you would like an in-person tour, please reach out at least 2 weeks before the desired date. Seguridad

Como padres de familia, entendemos que una de sus mayores preocupaciones es la seguridad de sus hijos. Es por eso que en este campus tomamos muchas medidas de precaución, prevención y seguridad para los estudiantes. Por ejemplo, “Safe Rides” es un servicio de transportación nocturna para los estudiantes que salen tarde de clase o se quedan estudiando. Si gusta saber más información, pueden visitar la página de el departamento de policía de la universidad.

Opciones de Vivienda

El programa de CAMP cuenta con bastantes años de experiencia ayudando a sus estudiantes a encontrar vivienda cerca de la universidad. CAMP ofrece recursos para que los estudiantes busquen vivienda en el campus o fuera del campus con información detallada para que tomen en consideración la distancia, precio, y modos de transportación como el "Hornet Shuttle" que es el sistema de rutas de autobuses de la universidad. También ofrecemos un taller de vivienda que se lleva a cabo cada mes de mayo al cual pueden asistir los estudiantes y los padres de familia.
