Night Bites: Island Eats and Asian Treats

Get ready! Night Bites: Island Eats & Asian Treats brings together our campus community for an evening celebration of Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This first-ever night market features local food trucks serving Asian and Pacific Islander cuisine, alongside student performances, cultural displays, and interactive activities including a mah jong tournament. Throughout the evening, connect with student and community organizations while live music sets the festive atmosphere.

Aaron Le
Bio: Aaron Le is a Vietnamese American singer, songwriter, and entertainer from Sacramento, CA. Growing up in a musical-talent household, Aaron Le got in tune with music at a very young age. He tells stories about love, heartbreak, hard work and having fun in a mixture of RnB, Hip-Hop and Pop style. Through his range of projects, Aaron Le has collaborated with many established artists such as Keak Da Sneak, Mistah Fab, Dmac Nate Curry, MarMar Oso, Shane Q and many others. He is known for his charismatic stage presence, giving back to his community, and setting strides for Asian American artists. Outside of music, Aaron is also a student, currently at Sacramento City College. This is his last semester there as he will be transferring over to Sacramento State to continue his educational career with the goal of earning his Bachelor's in Business Administration. As Aaron Le’s journey unfolds, one thing remains certain: his story will continue to inspire and uplift those who seek solace in its rhythm and hard work.

Darrel Medellin
Bio: Darrell Medellin is an upcoming Hip-Hop artist from Union City, CA with roots in Cebu City, Philippines. He was raised with an affinity with creativity and it unfolded to the artist you see today. With a blended sound of hard hitting bay area sounds, boom bap, and r&bish melodies, each song is treated as its own being. Darrell has never liked doing things on his own and has always wanted to include his friends and other creatives in the endeavors he presents today. With his group, ERYØNE., he is here to show the world what building with a team, community and perseverance can do.

Rules and Restrictions:
To enter, current Sac State students* must attend the event and complete a tabling card by visiting participating campus and community resource tables. Instructions for completing the tabling card will be provided at the check in tables at the event. Students will write their full name and Sac State ID on their completed card and turn it in to be entered to win.
*Must be a current Sac State student to win.
The winner will be drawn live at the event—you must be present to win! If the selected student is not there, we’ll draw another name until we have a winner. Don't miss your chance to take home this awesome prize!
