Procurement Standards
The Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Procurement Request must be submitted and approved for all requisitions and credit card orders containing technology items that fall under one of the ICT categories. All campus and auxiliary business units as well as our vendors must follow these policies and standards:
- Accessibility: Prospective technology equipment and/or software is evaluated to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities, and that they support state and federal laws. CSUS has an obligation to buy the most universally accessible products. If your requested acquisition is “high impact” (ie., it will be used by any number of students, a large group of 50 or more, and/or the public, you must request accessibility documentation (i.e. Accessibility Conformance Report for products, 508 Acknowledgement Statement for services, caption information for videos, etc.) from the vendor and complete the ICT Procurement Process.
- Information Security: A basic-to-comprehensive information security review and a vendor security review is performed to meet federal and state compliance requirements.
