Network Infrastructure
Our university network infrastructure service manages all the hardware and software resources that's enables network connectivity, communicate through our phone services, and access the internet.
Network Hardware Installation & Maintenance
Our network team helps install and configure all the physical components that would allow you to receive network services. This includes things like routers, switches, network cards, jacks, and conduit or cabling.
How do I get it?
- If you need to install network hardware or if it's not working correctly, let us know by submitting a service ticket.
- Generally, network hardware is installed as part of a broader campus project (e.g., an office relocation).
- Request a new network jack.
Who can get it?
- This request is usually requested by university IT staff or individuals involved on technical projects.
Network Design Consultation
If you're unsure about what type of network service or setup would be most appropriate for your environment, we offer design consultations to help you find out.
How do I get it?
- Submit a service ticket to request a consultation.
- Generally, this would be part of a facilities project, such as the design of a new office or building.
Who can get it?
- This request is usually requested by university IT staff or individuals involved on technical projects.
Underground Service Alert (USA) Utility Marking
Our network team often partners with the Underground Service Alert to ensure common goals for safe digging and excavations. By marking underground network or power lines, we can help prevent damage to our network infrastructure.
How do I get it?
- This service is not usually requested by the campus community.
- If you have questions however, let us know in a service ticket.
Who can get it?
- This is a "behind the scenes" service that is usually part of a larger facilities project.
