About the Service Desk Team

Whether it’s help with technology or navigating university resources, our community technology support specialists are here for you. It’s our team’s goal to ensure that you have access to the digital services that you need to succeed at Sacramento State. We aim to help create space for sharing knowledge and resources and advocate for a more seamless and equitable technology experience for all our campus community members.

Kelli Hunt – Director of Customer Services

Kelli joined the IRT Service Desk in 2024 with over 25 years of experience in collaborative and user-centric customer service, organizational change, and process improvement management. Kelli is made at Sac State and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She spent much of her career supporting customers in the healthcare information technology space at Sutter Health and brings her passion for excellent customer service to higher education. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys hiking, kayaking, and traveling.

Sean Walsh – Service Desk Lead

Sean has over 20 years of experience in customer service and technology support. He joined Sac State because he believes education and technology can improve lives. Sean values teaching, learning, and mentoring, and has worn these hats throughout his career. He believes technology can be used to improve lives through smart, human-centered approaches. Sean is made at Sac State with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and is currently working on a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development. He also loves a good board game and is an amateur chef.

Long Lim - Service Management Coordinator

Long Lim is twice made at Sac State, graduating with a master’s degree in English while also working as a student assistant in IRT. He has called the Service Desk home since 2012, where he has been committed to providing equitable and community-oriented support for our campus technologies and services. In addition, Long holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Davis and a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State. He gets joy from stationery, postcards, journaling, and books.

Benton Coveney - Technology Training Support Coordinator

Benton has a diverse background in training and instruction, having worked as an ESL teacher in South Korea, a writing coach, and a technology instructor. He spent several years at Apple, where he trained other trainers. Currently, he is a member of the IRT knowledge team, where he creates instructional materials, assists subject matter experts in enhancing and enriching training and help documentation, and designs training programs for campus technology products and services.

Dustin Harmon - Service Desk Consultant

Dustin holds a bachelor’s degree in Digital Film & Video Production and brings 20 years of diverse industry experience. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including TV commercials, music videos, short films, and broadcast television. Currently, Dustin is producing a documentary featuring a prominent Sacramento drag queen. Besides supporting our campus community with technology, he co-manages our IRT student workers and maintains IRT’s training and help documentation.

Naomi Juarez - Service Desk Consultant

Naomi is made at Sac State and holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She has many years of experience in customer service and enjoys problem-solving. Her goal is to make technology accessible and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. When Naomi is not at work, you can find her watching anime or playing cozy video games.

Lori Phillips – Service Desk Consultant

Lori is made at Sac State and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before joining IRT in 2021, she was a 20-year member of the Sac State community, where she gained valuable knowledge in various campus application systems and processes. Lori truly enjoys helping the campus community and strives to make a positive impact at Sac State.

Jeremiah Tsering – Service Desk Consultant

Jeremiah is a proud graduate of Sac State, holding a bachelor’s degree in Music. His deep passion for the art of sound and its transformative power translates seamlessly to his role at the Service Desk. With a keen ear for detail and a commitment to excellence, Jeremiah brings his cultivated skills in producing and recording music to the forefront of his work. His dedication to delivering exceptional service ensures that every interaction is harmonious and efficient. By leveraging his creativity and precision, Jeremiah strives to resolve issues effectively, enhancing the overall experience for our users and ensuring their needs are met with the same level of care and attention he brings to his musical projects.
