Adjunct Faculty Laptop Checkout

To support adjunct faculty who often must use personal devices for university business, IRT offers a long-term checkout program of University-managed laptops on a first-come, first-served basis each semester. These classroom-ready laptops come pre-loaded with current technology, software, and automatic security patching.

Long-Term Checkout

IRT provides a laptop loaner for temporary long-term on and off-campus academic use each semester:

  • Available by request only for adjunct faculty who are without access to a department-issued University-managed device in order to teach classes.

  • Laptops require authentication with your Sac State account username and password and are to be used only for academic purposes.

For new requests, fill out this form:

Laptop Checkout Request Form

When a new laptop request is confirmed, you'll receive an email to your Sac State account with instructions to come pick up your device.

Laptop Pick-Up & Returns

Pick-up & Return Location

Laptop pick-up and returns are managed at the IRT Service Desk in AIRC 2005 during open hours.

Returns

  • Laptops must be returned or assessed for reissue at the IRT Service Desk at the end of each semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer Session).
