Week 9 Writing Reflections
1. Read the following guidelines on reflection. Although this has been written for nurses, be prepared to discuss what you believe applies to teaching and teachers. Review the chapter in our readings on Reflections. Pay particular attention to the rubric for reflections.
2. Read these reflections. How would you rate them with the rubric for reflections?
2. Your ePortfolio for technology contains artifacts that you have created elsewhere (and have probably already received credit) thus the emphasis for the portfolio is the organization, the matching of the artifacts to the standard but most importantly, the reflection on the standard and your work.
3. Go to the first technology standard. When reflecting on the standard, you should be demonstrating your understanding of general concepts in the standard (e.g. communication) as well as how technology affects the concepts (e.g. How does technology change communication--for good---or bad.) Keeping in mind the guidelines from above and the rubric for reflection in our class readings, write a reflection for this standard. If this is not finished in class, do this for homework.
4. Be ready to team up with a peer at the beginning of next week to read each other's reflection.
