Part I:

In the identified groups, look over the Rio Linda portfolios linked to the student names on the splash page linked below.

Rio Linda Portfolio Home Page

Make individual lists of what you find useful as you think about your own portfolios. You must realize that the iMET portfolios will have a slightly different look as we have provided more guidance to you in developing the three sections: Process, Product and Showcase. However, the requirement to include artifacts and action research is the same for all cohorts.

In your groups, share your comments and be prepared to cite portfolios or sections of portfolios that you feel capture the graduate experience well.

8:30 - 9:15

Part II

The groups will be determined as the activity gets underway.

Choose one or more colleagues to work with tonight.  Select an artifact that you have completed that you think is ready for the Product section of your portfolio and have your colleagues give you feedback.  If you haven't done this previously, follow the format on the Reflection Scaffold.  Once your feedback is obtained from two peers, reflect on your product using the scaffold as a guide and submit your thoughts to one of the Amigos for feedback.

There are many formats for including your reflections in your Product section. One format this could take may be through a narrative on a webpage as you present and describe the four selected artifacts in the Product section of your portfolio. See Kathie Ventura's example from Rio Linda. You may also use the Reflection Scaffold, save it with a more appropriate name and upload it to your portfolio. It can be accessed as a link just as any html document or pdf file can be accessed. Just make sure the Word document has the .doc extension.

Here is one fromMike LaMarr in San Juan. Mike has uploaded his review if the literature (still in progress). It was originally submitted as a word-processed document and, after a first revision, saved as a web and uploaded.

Note: Some of you already have much feedback on products.  You can use this.  However, you also need to give feedback to others who ask for it so they can complete their reflections.

9:15 - 9:30 In preparation for the final discussions tonight, check the remainder of the agenda for the evening.
