Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week is April 7 - 11, 2025!

Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (NGPSAW) was started in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students as a way to support and appreciate graduate and professional students. The week seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact, and value of graduate students on campuses throughout the United States.

Join the Office of Graduate Studies and our campus partners for a week all about you, our graduate students! We have also included some campus-wide events where we encourage you to bring your families (if available) or plan an event with other students in your degree programs.

We are currently planning our schedule of events for Grad Appreciation Week 2025. Check out our tentative 2025 Schedule of Events!

• GRAD SLAM (5:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • Sacramento State is hosting its fifth Grad Slam event. Grad Slam is an academic research communication event that challenges graduate students to present a compelling speech about their research and its significance to an interdisciplinary audience in just three minuted using only one presentation image. Come enjoy the evening with our amazing graduate student scholars. See who will advance to represent Sac State at the CSU Grad Slam event.
