Student Basic Needs

• Increase emergency support programming for basic need services to prevent the disruption of academic progress for students experiencing unforeseen obstacles:
  • Student Emergency Fund
  • Student Emergency Housing Fund
  • ASI Food Pantry
  • Crisis Assistance & Resource Education Support (CARES) Office
• Invest in holistic health and wellness programs aimed at ensuring all students have access to information on healthy lifestyle choices, including knowledge of a healthy financial plan before, during, and after college.

Academic Excellence

• Enhance Sacramento State’s Programs of Excellence that support the academic success of all Sacramento State students including former foster youth, young men of color, veterans, and many others. These programs are essential to ensuring all Sacramento State students are supported on their paths to achieving their educational goals.
• Increase scholarship support to lessen the impact of tuition, decrease student loan debt, and allow students more time to focus on their education, which can alleviate financial stressors and ameliorate timely graduation.

The Hornet Experience

• Enrich the entire student experience through shared cross-cultural, leadership development, and service opportunities. Plus, enhance programming and update campus amenities so students can make the most of their Hornet experience and be empowered for a lifetime.
