VIA Rail Canada: Coast to Coast
By Sam Parsons
My latest video is ready for viewing: VIA Rail Canada: Coast to Coast . It’s about our train trip across that country from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, mostly in Sleeper Plus class. This video does NOT cover large portions of the trip where we got off the train and stayed in BnB’s, apartments or hotels while we visited Jasper, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax for multiple days in each place. It also does not show the (non-sleeper) commuter trains we rode to the cities from Toronto to Quebec City. The video concentrates mainly on all things sleeper train as it travels the route from Vancouver to Toronto which VIA Rail calls The Canadian. As such, it is sort of a guide for anyone who might want to make all or part of the trip (there are many shorter options).
Cleck HERE to view.
I’ve had a life-long fascination with trains. I really enjoyed the trip and have even started to dream about the Orient Express. Kay, on the other hand, says that although she pretty much enjoyed it, this trip cured her of any desire to travel by train again!
