Bombing "The Bridges at Toko-ri" in Korea

A little history from that fateful day of February 8, 1952 in Korea.
While operating from the carrier Valley Forge, my best man Bob
Komoroff, myself, and Marvin Broomhead followed "Iron Pants" Bob
Schreiber into the Valley of Death on an attack against the bridges at
Samdong-ni. I was flying the second dive bomber in an AD behind Schreiber.
Broomhead didn't make it. In 1953, the story was written into the
novel "The Bridges at Toko-ri" by James Michener.
