Spring Brunch w/ Faculty Grant Recipients, May 7, 2023

We welcomed 78 retirees and guests to the Spring Brunch on May 7th. We enjoyed prosecco and mimosas, a delicious brunch, lots of lively conversation and memories of our time at Sac State. We honored our most recent Faculty Development award honorees, Dr. Hamid Motallebzadeh and Dr. Maria Quintana, and the Alan D. Wade Family Research award recipient, Dr. Gwenaelle Begue.

Honoring Retiring Sac State President Robert Nelsen:

Retirees Association president Sue Holl presented outgoing Sac State President Robert Nelsen with a plaque of appreciation and Retirees Association cap, after a heartfelt speech. President Nelsen is retiring in July 2023 and the Retirees Association wanted to honor his service. He received a standing ovation from the attendees and spoke about his time as President.
