30th Anniversary Fall Dinner, With President Robert Nelson, Nov. 6, 2015
They came in droves - a record 136 attendees to celebrate the Association's 30th anniversary. On hand to mark the occassion were two notable campus leaders, President Emeritus Don Gerth and President Robert Nelson.
Also attending were our two 2015 scholarship recipients, selected from 28 applicants, Kindra Davis and Holly Siino, accompanied by their families.
We had a special exhibit from the book club about their reading of The Lost City of Z and related 1960s photographic expedition to Brazil and Venezuela by Ata Kando, Tom Kando's 102 year old mother.
We honored Peter Shattuck who passed away in September. In addition to Peter's extensive service to the campus, he was active in the Retirees Association, serving as Vice President for 10 years, from 2001 through 2010.
