The Community Engagement Center provides Day-of-Service volunteer events throughout the academic school year for students to serve with different community and campus organizations. Stay tuned for upcoming events!
Spring Day of Service Opportunities:
Food Distribution with River City Food Bank
The River City Food Bank serves the Sacramento County by bringing short-term food supplies to those facing times of crisis as they work towards a better future. Come join the CEC as we partner with River City Food Bank in helping alleviate hunger! Registatrion begins Wednesday, February 12th.

Harvest Day
The CEC is proud to partner with Soil Born Farms this semester in supporting our communtiy. Join us in harvesting citrus fruits at different sights while a Volunteer leader guides the way. Volunteers receive t-shirts and harvested citris fruits to take home, while also providing food to local food banks including the ASI Food Pantry! Join us in supporting our community and fellow students. Registration opens on Februray 15th.

Community Garden Day
Join the CEC and fellow Sac State Students as we partner with the The Greenhouse Community Center to lend support as they beautify their community garden. Lunch will be served after! Registration will open early March.

Star Wars Day with Fairytale Town
Bring your best star wars attire for a day of fun with the CEC as we partner with Fairytale Town on May 4th for their annual Star Wars Day! Volunteers dress as star wars charcters and host a wide variety of activities in the park. Registration will opens Sunday, April 20th so mark your calendars. May the force be with you!

Alternative Break
The Community Engagement Center partners with some amazing community organizations to provide an Alternative Break opportunity for students to volunteer one day or every day for community service projects during spring break.
