Cal State Apply:

BS in Nutrition and Food (Face to Face & Online Options)

Sacramento State's Nutrition, Food & Dietetics Department (NUFD) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutrition and Food, providing students with the flexibility to complete their coursework fully in-person, fully online, or through a blend of both modalities. While the degree is primarily offered in a face-to-face format on campus, recent approval has introduced an online option, allowing students to choose the course delivery method that best suits their learning preferences and schedules.

Every student accepted into the program will have the opportunity to select either in-person, online, or a combination of course modalities to meet their educational needs. Nutrition courses in the BS NUFD major are offered in an online format at least once over a two-year cycle, ensuring that students can fulfill their required coursework within that timeframe after completing prerequisites and general education courses at Sacramento State or local community colleges.

For assistance in completing required courses in the BS NUFD major fully in-person or online, meet with a NUFD advisor to develop an individual academic plan.

Please check here for the online section schedule (tentative) for NUFD Major Courses.
