CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State

CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State is for undergraduates majoring in a STEM field as they prepare for their next steps after completing their bachelor’s.

The CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State Program provides the following activities and opportunities:

  • One-on-One Advising
  • Research Opportunities
  • Graduate School Preparation
    • Application assistance
    • Statement of Purpose assistance
    • Resources for GRE preparation
  • Network with other undergraduates, graduate students, post doctorals and alumni
  • Workshops & Guest Speakers
  • Support to attend local, regional, and national conferences

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State, students must

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Be enrolled at a participating CSU campus in an undergraduate major in a STEM discipline or has expressed an interest in pursuing a STEM baccalaureate degree
  • Be an individual interested in pursuing graduate studies or join the workforce in a STEM field outside of the health professions degress or careers
  • Be an individual who faced or faces social, educational, or economic barriers to STEM careers.

Student Participation Requirements

Students who accept to be a part of the CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State will be required to:

  • Take part in CSU-LSAMP Advising (CSU-LSAMP advising consist of graduate school preparation, academic/professional development, and career advising).
  • Be active on the CSU-LSAMP at Sacramento State Canvas.
  • Participate in CSU-LSAMP approved workshops and activities.

No, we are unable to support non STEM majors.

No, all reseroucs and programing is designed to prepare students who want to enter a STEM graduate degree or workforce in the STEM fields.
