REACH Clinic
About the REACH Clinic
The Regional, Equitable, Accessible, Community, Health (REACH) Community Clinic at CSUS is the Physical Therapy Department's newest pro-bono community clinic. We strive to reduce barriers to health care access by providing quality physical therapy care to our community free of charge. Our goal is to provide accessible physical therapy, wellness, and health to the uninsured/under-insured members of the community in the Sacramento area. Student physical therapists work alongside licensed physical therapy faculty to provide free physical therapy services. The clinic takes place in person at Folsom Hall, 7667 Folsom Blvd, room 1055. Interpreting Services
The REACH clinic strives to provide accessible physical therapy care including providing interpreting services if needed. The clinic utilizes in person interpreting and Language Line to ensure effective communication for all.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Who can participate?
A: Anyone who does not have health insurance or has a barrier to recieving physical therapy and would like to benefit from physical therapy services is eligible to participate. If you are unsure if you qaulify to participate in the REACH clinic please contact us.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: Clinic appointments take approximately 1 hour in length. Clients are typically seen 1 time per week over the course of 4-6 weeks. Length of visits and course of care does vary and your provider will work with you to come up with a plan of care that works for you.
Q: Do you offer transportation services?
A: We do not offer transportation services to and from Folsom Hall at this time. Participants need to provide their own transportation to and from Folsom Hall.
Q: How much is parking?
A: There are 2-3 free parking spots in the front of Folsom Hall. If a parking permit is needed, we will order you a permit prior to your physical therapy appointment.
Permits for Folsom Hall can also be purchased by phone or machine located in the parking lot. The parking permit machines accept $5 bills, $1 bills, Visa and Mastercard. Daily parking permits cost $8 and 2-hour parking permits cost $4.
Q: What happens if I cannot make my scheduled appointment?
A: If you cannot make your scheduled appointment please reach out to ptclinic@csus.edu or call (916) 278-6564 as soon as possible.
If we are not notified within 24 hours, it may be considered a no-show. Please refer to our no-show policy above for details.

No-Show Policy
If you have an emergency or need to cancel an appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance. When you do not call, this can prevent other patients from receiving the treatment they need. Patients who fail to give notice or show up for 2 appointments will be placed on the call-in list.
Call-in List
Patients who fail to give notice or show up for 2 appointments will be placed on the call-in list. They will not be able to schedule appointments in advance, however, they will be able to call in and see if there are availabilities for that given day. Thank you for understanding.
Mission Statement
The REACH Clinic at Sacramento State University is dedicated to providing physical therapy care to the community incorporating a network approach with community medical providers, policy makers, and allied health care providers. The clinic seeks to remove barriers to accessing physical therapy care in the Sacramento community. Access to physical therapy services regardless of insurance coverage is viewed as an opportunity to improve function and reduce future health care needs due to chronic conditions. The specific aims of the clinic include:
Providing physical therapy care to community members who are underinsured or uninsured at no cost.
Collaborate with community health clinics in the Sacramento region to better serve the physical therapy needs of their clients.
Develop interprofessional service and learning opportunities with programs/divisions across the College of Health and Human Services and the University.
Collaborate with health care policy makers and stakeholders to enhance access to rehabilitation services such as Physical Therapy in the Sacramento region.
