Student Leadership Conference

The annual HLP Student Leadership Conference is held during the Spring semester and spans two days.

The 2022 spring semester workshop is sponsored by SMUD. Leadership teams of student clubs are invited to attend but should RSVP by March 22.

The workshop will have:

• Hands-on workshops to enhance club success
• Alumni guest speakers on select leadership topics
• Breakfast & lunch included
• A chance to pitch for club funding for 2022-23

About The Conference

The conference invites leadership teams from all ECS & NSM student professional societies as well as any students engaged in formal leadership roles. Interactive workshops are held in the morning focusing on topics such as group process, equity and ethics, and effective presentation skills. The afternoon focuses on how to best build and sustain each student organization's success.

Student leadership teams participate in hands-on workshops and have the opportunity to interact with professionals from the local community who were leaders while they were students at Sacramento State or are now leaders in their organizations and fields. This strengthens the ties and sense of community between students and alumni, and helps develop a pipeline of ready professionals for the growing number of opportunities in our community.
