We reached out to the Becker Professional Education team regarding Credit/No Credit grades as they relate to our students who are preparing for an upcoming CPA Exam.

The California Board of Accountancy Examination Unit provided the following response:

Q: Many of the universities are switching to a pass or Fail/ credit no credit courses. Do these count towards CPA eligible units?

A: Pass/fail courses taken from regionally or nationally degree granting institutions may be used to satisfy the Uniform CPA Examination (CPA Exam) education requirements. There is no limit on the number of pass/fail courses taken as long as credit is earned according to the institution’s criteria. The is no negative affect when pass/fail courses are used to satisfy the examination/licensing education requirements.
