Business Honor Societies
Honors Organizations
Business students may also be invited to an Honors organization based on their academic performance and other eligibility criteria. The CBA currently recognizes the following Honors organizations:
Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
Founded in 1913, lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society is the highest recognition a student can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Admitted business majors who are in the top 10% of their class and graduate students in the top 20% of their class whom also meet additional eligibility criteria are invited to become lifetime members of BGS twice annually, before the fall and spring semesters. Phi Kappa Phi (PKP)
Phi Kappa Phi (PKP)
The Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) All-University Honor Society, founded in 1897 and now located on more than 250 American campuses, is Sacramento State's oldest honor society. Members are selected from all areas of the university on the basis of academic excellence. Membership is by invitation only: students must meet GPA and completed unit requirements in order to be eligible. New members are initiated each Spring.

Golden Key Honor Society
Golden Key is the world’s largest collegiate honor society, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and connecting high-achieving individuals locally, regionally & globally with lifetime opportunity, reward & success. Membership is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of college and university sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements.
