Marketing & Promotions

We want to promote you! Help us share the outstanding work you are doing along with all the events happening in the College of Arts & Letters. Below you will find guidelines for Social Media content, Event Promotion, and how to submit information to our Monthly Newsletter.

Social Media

The College of Arts & Letters has an active social media presence on Facebook and Instagram. We encourage our Departments to be active as well. If you want an event or piece of news promoted on social media, please check with our Department office first and make sure to tag the College in your post.

Events

The College of Arts & Letters hosts hundreds of events each semester. There is always something happening! To make sure we can promote all the events, please make sure to read through our Event Guidelines and post the event to the Arts &Letters Calendar (instructions in the Guidelines)

Only official Sac State events should be added to the Calendar. These are events that happen on Campus, events done with a Community Partner, or are sponsored by SacState at an off-campus location (U-Nite, J-Street Film Fest, classroom exhibits at local galleries, etc.)

Newsletter

The College of Arts & Letters has a Monthly Newsletter (Started 9/1/23). This newsletter goes out on the first of the month and includes event information, how to support the College of Arts & Letters, spotlights on Faculty, Students, and Alumni, and an "A&L News" section. This newsletter is for the general public and our University. If you know anyone who would like to get this newsletter, please share our Sign-up Link.

To have your event included in the Newsletter, it must be posted to the Arts & Letters Calendar by the 15th of the month prior to your event. Details on how to do that can be found in our Event Guidelines.

To share news for our "A&L News" please submit here. We want to share the outstanding work you are doing! News items we would love to share include, but are not limited to, awards won, publications, grants, exhibits, productions, news articles you were quoted in, and links to interviews given. Please note all items submitted should be no more than two sentences; please be as brief as possible, and there should be a link for more information. If you have questions, please reach out to the College of Arts & Letters ext 8-6502.
