Apply to the Art Model Pool!

The Art Department is now accepting applications for our part-time Art Model hiring pool. Most modeling is in the nude and involves a variety of poses sustained over varying periods of time. Skills required include the ability to hold poses requested by the Art instructor over specified periods of time (short gestural or action poses, longer poses for more detailed studies of the figure, etc.). Apply today! Pool will close Aug 9, 2024 at 11:55 PM.

The Department of Art anticipates a need for part-time instructors. Salary rate is variable depending upon qualifications and relevant experience.

The Art Department employs Instructional Student Assistants to provide support in the New Media and Printmaking studios, and as graders for large art history lecture classes. Upper division and graduate students are encouraged to apply for Academic Student Employee positions. Hiring criteria vary with each type of job and are summarized in the job descriptions below. Hiring is subject to funding.

Federal Work Study positions are also available to provide support in the Art Sculpture Lab, to work as an Inventory and Media Assistant, and to help in the Art Office as an Office Assistant. Students must be awarded Federal Work Study to be considered.

FWS Technician Assistants will help with the general class use of lab facilities and will function as directed in maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all areas operated by the Art department.

The FWS Inventory and Media Assistant will assist in the development and execution of a new inventory system and the set up of the new virtual reality lab.

The FWS Office Assistant will assist the staff in the Art Office with general reception duties.
