Congratulations on being admitted to Sac State! We’re absolutely thrilled that you’ve chosen to join our amazing community!
As a new transfer student, you’re about to embark on an exciting journey in a place bursting with opportunities. Your first step? Transfer Orientation! This essential event is required for all new students, and it’s your golden ticket to register for classes and jumpstart your academic adventure.
During Orientation, you’ll dive into how your transfer credits fit into your major and General Education requirements. You’ll also participate in engaging academic advising sessions, explore fantastic programs and services, and register for classes. It’s the perfect way to get on the fast track to completing your degree!
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! With our First Year Engagement programming, you’ll have tons of chances to connect with your new home and fellow Hornets. Get ready for awesome events like New Student and Family Convocation, Hornet Nest Fest, and so much more!

Child Care
Students who are in need of childcare (ages 6 mos.-kindergarten) during Orientation may arrange for free child care from the ASI Children's Center. This is based on space availability and requests for care should be made at least seven working days in advance. For arrangements call the ASI Children's Center at (916) 278-6216.
Disability Access Center
We strongly recommend for best-ensured service, that requests for sign language interpreters, real-time captioners, printed or audio materials in alternative formats, or other ADA accommodations be made at least 10 working days in advance of your Orientation by contacting the Disability Access Center at dac@csus.edu or (916) 278-6955 voice.
