Summer Orientation Workshops
Welcome, New Hornets & Families!
Sac State is a wonderful university with a diverse student body, amazing programs, and active campus life. Although we are not able to bring you to campus for your orientation experience, many of our campus programs would like to meet you virtually.
Check out the list of workshops offered during your Orientation session dates below: Parents and supporters are also invited to attend the workshops.
First-Year Student Workshop Dates
JULY: 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30
AUGUST: 2, 3, 4, 5
Workshops have three sessions each day:
- 1:15 - 1:40 pm
- 1:45 - 2:10 pm
- 2:15 - 2:45 pm

College of Education - Child Development and Teacher Credentialing Program Admission Criteria
Interested in teaching? Learn the process to become a bilingual K-12 Teacher engaging in one of the most rewarding professions. We will review the requirements for our teaching credentialing programs so come prepared to map out your academic action plans in a space to discuss any questions/issues you may have.

Virtual Detective Games – FREE!!
All Students: July 14 and August 11
UNIQUE Programs will be hosting two exciting, interactive, virtual detective games! Communicate live with Detectives Wilder & Axley and work with other Sac State students to test your web sleuth skills to scour the web for clues and solve riddles to save the mystery. Registration is required and a Zoom link will be sent only to those who register. Capacity is 25 for each event.

VIDEO GAME TOURNAMENTS- FREE!!!
All Students: July 16 and August 13
The University Union Games Room will be presenting two fun, casual video game tournaments where you can compete with other Sac State students. Both tournaments will be on Nintendo Switch and utilizing Discord for communication. Play for fun or play to win! We will be awarding prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Register by midnight the night before each tournament. Open only to current and incoming Sacramento State students.
