Personnel File Review
Personnel file review requests can be submitted by employees and/or management to access employment records archived by Sac State’s Human Resources. Employment Services provides staff and management access to personnel files in accordance to the CSU’s collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). For more information on the CBAs set for each Unit, please refer to the “CBAs for Viewing Personnel Files”.

Procedure:
To request permission to review a personnel file, please fill out the appropriate online request form. Once your request has been reviewed by Employment Services, a Human Resources representative will follow up within the timeframe outlined by the CBAs.
If you are a recruiter from another California state agency seeking to view a personnel file as part of a recruitment process, please contact Sac State Employment Services with your name and the details of your request. An HR representative will contact you to provide further instructions.
