Student Experience
- Cohorts for both first-year students and transfer students.
- Minor in Native American Studies, including Tribal Leadership courses.
- Road map for General Education (GE) requirements to keep the cohort together as much as possible.
- Students can major in any area they are accepted into by the Department.
- Closely mentored by Native American faculty and Sacramento State faculty.
- Centralized physical space for the Co-Curricular Native American College, which houses resource personnel for the students such as an Outreach/Recruiter, Advisor, Counselor, Administrative Support Assistant, Tutors, Dean, etc.
- Centralized physical space for students to utilize computers, classroom, and meeting space.
- Native American leadership events/speakers/trainings.
- Community-based learnings and internships.
- Housing that reflects the cohort model.
