About the PRIDE Center
The PRIDE Center provides students looking for a connection to campus with programs and events, access to resources on campus and in the community, a welcoming space, and opportunities for education about LGBTQIA communities and the intersections of many identities and experiences.
We exist to create and maintain a campus environment that is open, safe, and supportive of student diversity in the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
Our Goals
- Increase support for LGBTQIA+ students to elevate their academic achievement and student life at Sac State
- Enrich the diversity and equity of Sac State to ensure an inclusive environment and foster a community of belonging
- Raise the PRIDE Center’s visibility through stronger community engagement and partnerships to secure resources for LGBTQ+ students
What’s New in Spring 2025?
We will bring back various social and support groups for our LGBTQ+ students:
- Queer Connect
- T4Tea
- Queer in Color
We will hold discussion groups on various topics. In addition, we will have art nights, movie nights, game nights, and many more! Follow us on Instagram or click on “Programs and Services” on the right for updates!
Equity Statement: As an inclusive campus which promotes student success for all, the services and programs of each student center are open and available for the entire campus populace. Through our rich diversity of perspective and background, we are friends and supporters to all paving the way of excellence and lighting the path of belonging.
