Catalog Description:
A performance based course which emphasizes communication and educational
methods for family and consumer sciences subject matter. Focus on
learning styles, curriculum development, presentation techniques,
and assessment of learning outcomes. Preparation, presentation and
critique of presentations and learning activities for individuals
and groups. Attention to development of leadership skills and program
promotion methods.

15 FACS units, including FACS 060; completion of Area A GE requirements.

Students will need an electronic
mail account and computer access to the Web. All CSUS students enrolled in
one or more units can create a SacLink
account for electronic mail and Internet services. Although a home computer
with a high speed modem running Netscape or Internet Explorer would be beneficial,
students can use the Web from one of the campus
