    • What is laboratory-appropriate attire

  • Lab Coat – use one that fits you and has long sleeves and extends to mid-thighs (no skin exposed on legs)
  • Must have shoes covering full feet (No slippers)
  • Gloves-nitrile type

What is the CAS number?

A CAS Registry Number:  is a unique numerical identifier assigned by the Chemical Abstracts Service

(CAS) to every chemical substance. 

Why do halogenated organic wastes need to be separated from non-halogenated organic wastes?

This is because the disposal cost for halogenated materials is significantly higher than that for non-halogenated.
