Professor Michel A. Van Hove is one of the top scientists in the field of theoretical solid state physics in the world! I am honored to have worked with him indirectly when he worked at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, California . I used his powerful novel methods of electron scattering theory and computation. He kindly directed me during my research in surface chemistry.
