Students will be exposed to discussions of hardware-software and will use common technology related terms correctly in conversation. Students will recognize terms and their definitions.

Students will become familiar with basic terminology related to computer technology.

Objectives:

Students will describe and use terms referring to computer hardware and its function

Students will describe and use terms referring to computer software and its function

given a multiple choice quiz students will recognize terms and related definitions.

Step 1.

Locate "Survival Guide to ComputerTerminology"

Browse through the document.

Step 2.

Identify those terms you understand. Mark the terms you do not clearly understand or want to refresh in your mind.

Step 3.

In short lecture/discussion sessions your instructor will review the terminology list and clarify them. ASK questions.

Step 4.

Download the Terminology crossword puzzle and try to solve it. Any unsolved puzzle items will be discussed in class.

Step 5.

Log on to take the Terminology Quiz. Scores will be automatically recorded.
