This drawing of Gary Shannon was done by his daughter, Zoe Chastain-Shannon, when she was 8. This drawing is being used in honor of Zoe - she was killed in an automobile accident in the Fall of 2004, at the age of 18. The photo below is one that she took of herself a few days before her death. Below the photo of Zoe are copies of two paintings and one pastel that she did during her last year. Below Zoe's art work is a copy of a mural that the students in Zoe's art class at Humboldt State did in honor of her. Below the mural are some additional photos of Zoe, and below the additional photos are some chalk drawings from the candlelight vigil that the students held for Zoe. |
