Welcome to my website! After working in the field of therapeutic recreation for the past 13 years I am excited to be currently serving in the role of Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator for the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration.

Preparing students to be successful as they pursue careers in the area of inclusive and therapeutic recreation is my main teaching interest. In today's society, professionals in the field of parks and recreation must be able to program for individuals of all abilities. I believe it is important to provide valuable experience to students regardless if his or her emphasis is in community, commercial, natural resources, or therapeutic recreation. My passion for advancing recreation opportunities for underrepresented groups has contributed to a commitment to students and to bring my real life experiences into the classroom.

My teaching philosophy incorporates three key components: professionalism, practical experience, and passion.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like additional information about the program, or if you would like to learn about recreation resources in the community for individuals with disabilities.
