Pam did a short unit on the works of Magritte, the famous artist.  The students wrote a short essay on their own Magritte style drawing done in a paint program and copied to a word processing document.

Pam Healy: Magritte- personally I've always been fascinated by his artwork and I like surrealism, so I chose him. I guess you could choose another artist, but it might not lend to such a creative opportunity. This is for after learning creative writing. Study Magritte art, learn something about the artist, create your own pseudo Magritte and develop a creative story.
