Next Generation Science Standards Resources

California's State Board of Eduication adopted the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in 2013. These new standards emphasize a deep understanding of basic science concepts, the process of scientific thinking, and developing engineering solutions to problems by using scientific knowledge. According to the California Departent of Education's NGSS timeline we are currently in a transition period with full implementation of NGSS anticipated by 2018.
