Video script - format samples

 

For the video scriptwriting assignment you will not be scrutinized for your script formatting as long as you make your audio and video components clear to the reader (me). However, it is recommended that you use either of the two basic script formats: split-page or motion picture. A sample of both styles follow below.

 

NOTE: The subject, medium, target audience and goal of these sample scripts is as follows:

Subject/medium: Television commercial about CSUS football

Target audience: CSUS students who are marginally interested in football

Goal: Get students to attend the upcoming game

WE'RE RETURNING 8 STARTERS ON OFFENSE AND 9 ON DEFENSE. AND OUR KICKER IS A CANDIDATE FOR ALL AMERICAN HONORS. FOOTBALL FANS CAN'T FIND A BETTER TICKET IN TOWN.

STUDENT: SAC STATE FOOTBALL IS MORE THAN FOOTBALL . . .

STUDENT 2: IT'S A PARTY, (THEN LETS OUT A "WHOOP")

FOOTBALL PLAYER: DON'T MISS THE FUN. COME TO THE GAME THIS SATURDAY AT 6 P.M. STUDENTS CAN ATTEND FREE. SAC STATE FOOTBALL COME TO THE PARTY AT OUR HOUSE.

1. MULTIPLE IMAGES OF FOOTBALL GAME, INTERMIXING CROWD SCENES, BAND MEMBERS, FOOTBALL PLAYERS, COACHES.

SOUND EFFX: HIGH ENERGY SOUNDS OF BAND MUSIC, CONTACT SOUNDS OF FOOTBALL PLAYERS COLLIDING, FANS CHEERINGS, COACHES YELLING ENCOURAGEMENT TO PLAYERS. BAND UP WITH SAC STATE FIGHT SONG.
