Cost of Government Day

• The Cost of Government Day: is the day of the year on which the average American has earned enough in gross income to pay off all his/her direct and hidden taxes (total federal, state, and local government spending plus the costs of regulation). This year, the Cost of Government Day is on July 3rd. The average American spends more time working for the government than for themself.
