I started at NABISCO's Sacramento Sales Branch as a General Clerk in October, 1962, and spent three years learning the distribution operation. I was promoted to the position of Operations Supervisor in October, 1965, and held that position until I left in May of 1968 to continue my education. As Operations Supervisor, I was responsible for the operation of the office, warehouse and delivery fleet, including the supervision of 22 employees. In addition, I served as assistant to the Branch Manager and dealt with all aspects of the sales operations, including sales management, labor negotiations, and sales meetings and training.
