Objectives
Upon completion of this unit students should be able to:
List and describe the components of the hydrologic cycle.
Define the parts of a stream and a drainage basin.
Recognize different drainage patterns.\
Discuss how sediment is transported by streams.
Distinguish between meandering and braided streams.
Tell how urbanization changes flood response.
Review for the test You should use several tools to review for the test: 1) Go over your notes.
2) Repeat step #1.
3) Review chapters in the textbook.
4) Take practice quizzes on-line (please don't send them to me unless I assign them!)
5) Use reviews and summaries at the end of each chapter.
6) Make sure you know terms and concepts on the study guide:
Homework for week #9 Study for Exam 2: Review chapter summaries, take practice quizzes, review your notes, read the book! You may want to do the practice quiz in Chapter 10 (Streams, rivers and flooding), but I won't collect it or count the grade.
You will need a scantron form for the test: Scantron #4521.
You can get this scantron form at the bookstore. You will need at least 3 of these scantron forms this semester.
